Anger Management Services

The anger management department of Associates in Professional Counseling and Coaching provides certified anger management facilitators who have studied with the world-renowned George Anderson. These programs for adults and adolescents have been approved across the country for those who may be mandated by work, school, court system, or those who may simply be interested in learning to gain better control over their behaviors. Anger management is offered in group classes and individually. The courses vary in length from eight sessions to 52 sessions depending on the mandate or need. We also offer an advanced program designed for physicians, executives, and other professionals.

Anger Management Programs:

  • Basic Anger Management is a one-on-one training program normally completed in 10 sessions.
  • Class/ groups are offered separately for adults and adolescents on an ongoing basis
  • Anger Management Orientations for business, hospitals, and schools.
  • Executive Coaching/Anger Management is a customized program usually provided for professionals in a personal executive coaching style delivered in 10 sessions.

Executive Coaching/Anger Management for Physicians and Professionals

In response to the need for a one-on-one individual, sensitive intervention model for professionals, Associates in Professional Counseling and Coaching in affiliation with Anderson & Anderson® is now offering a 10-hour personalized coaching class for physicians and other professionals. This class is available at our Naperville and Palos Heights offices. A certified Anderson & Anderson® facilitator conducts the sessions. This coaching class includes:

  • A multi-instrument assessment focusing on the participant’s level of functioning in managing stress, anger, communication, and emotional intelligence.
  • Client workbook which includes didactic information and exercises focusing on enhancing emotional intelligence, improving assertive communication as well as behavioral strategies for recognizing and managing anger and stress.
  • Post-test, at course conclusion, designed to determine the success or lack of success of the coaching classes.
